When you need a little extra space, the height-adjustable roll/turn closure of our rolltop backpacks quickly gives you more volume. Another large opening with a practical two-way zipper also allows you to easily access the contents of your backpack from the back at any time. The smallest one: Wakayama
Wakayama is the smallest in our family of rolltop backpacks. A compact daypack that can comfortably hold your essentials, but also magazines or a tablet or notebook up to 13 inches. Various insert and zipper pockets, pen loops and a practical key strap keep everything neat and tidy. For easy and quick handling, Wakayama and others feature an additional large zipper opening on the back.

Your companion for everyday life and leisure: Tokio
Tokio is the next larger of our rolltop backpacks and perfect for everyday life and leisure – featuring waterproof zippers and authentic leather details. In addition to a bit more storage space, it also offers you an organized interior with room for A4 documents and compartments for items such as a notebook up to 13 inches. The canvas in our Japan series is made from densely combed and woven organic cotton and finished with a semi-gloss vintage coating. The PFAS free coating gives the styles a water-repellent surface with a leather-like look that polishes with use. We use special high-performance threads for this series that do not absorb water. The rainproof zippers are made from recycled material.

Fukui: Would you like a little more extra capacity?
Would you like a little more extra capacity? Fukui is the larger version of Tokio with approx. 28 x 13 x 43- 64 cm. With room for a 15 inch notebook, it is a reliable companion not only in your free time, but also at work or at university. The leather applications are made from sustainably tanned premium cowhide. As a member of the Leather Working Group (LWG), we voluntarily commit to responsible leather production - for a conscious approach to people and nature. We source our leather from tanneries that are certified by the LWG. This means: strictly tested eco-standards, reduced emissions and careful use of resources such as water and energy.

At home all over the world: Globetrotter Matsuyama
Matsuyama is the largest of our rolltop backpacks. It measures about 30 x 15 x 46-68 cm and thus also swallows a notebook up to 16 inches. It is the only one equipped with a chest strap. Thus, it lies well on your shoulders even when fully packed. Matsuyama is the perfect partner in crime in the university, at work and on the next city trip. All styles are handmade with care. Regular audits based on the SA8000 social standard ensure that the working conditions along the supply chain meet international standards.

In a symbiosis of aesthetics and function, the backpacks are characterized by intelligent storage space and useful features such as rainproof zippers and quick access to your essentials. Particularly long, densely combed and woven cotton fibers made from organic cotton ensure durability. A PFC- & PFAS-free coating gives the styles water-repellent properties and a leather-like look that polishes with use. The leather applications come from a tannery certified by the Leather Working Group - for more transparency and sustainability in the production of leather.

Japan RE: Rolltops Made from Recycled Nylon
The lightweight yet extremely durable recycled nylon in our innovative Japan RE series is certified to the Global Recycled Standard. In addition to a water-repellent impregnation, a PFAS- and PFC-free coating reliably protects against moisture and gives the material a highly functional, water-resistant surface. We also use special high-performance threads that do not absorb water. The zippers are impregnated to be water-repellent. YKK’s Aquaguard zippers are made from recycled PET.
