The distinctive angled flap and the firm body in durable premium leather give the messenger bag its unmistakable look. Judd has a specially developed magnetic fastening, securely closed and opened in one movement. A front pocket sits under the flap. Inside, two zip pockets, slip pockets for your phone and other essentials, a padded laptop compartment, two pen holders and a key strap keep everything in view. Premium leather from Europe

European premium leather is tanned in an LWG Gold Rated tannery in India. Over time a natural patina develops, the material grows darker and softer and takes on a character of its own. Small irregularities are part of that and make every bag unique. As a member of the Leather Working Group, aunts & uncles is voluntarily committed to responsible leather production. Our manufacturing partners are audited to Amfori BSCI or SMETA.

Black, tan or dark brown

Every model comes in three colours. black is the understated choice for formal occasions and for pairing with dark suits. dark brown is the deeper shade, warmer than black and just as good with denim as with a wool coat. tan is the lightest option, a warm light brown, and this is where the patina shows most clearly.

Care and repair

At the start you do not need any care products. Oils and waxes already protect the material naturally, and the patina develops most beautifully without additives. In heavy rain or against dirt, a wax-based protective spray for open-pored leather adds an extra layer of protection. Every model with room for A4 and a padded laptop compartment: the Judd family and Finn. Big Judd and Finn also take a slim folder. If you carry a lot of documents and books, Finn with its divided main compartment is the best choice.

Which bag fits a 15-inch laptop?

Medium Judd and Big Judd have a padded laptop compartment for devices up to 15 inches. Finn takes devices up to 14 inches.

Does A4 fit in the bags?

Yes, in Jason, in all three Judd sizes and in Finn. Jade is too compact for it.

What is the difference between Judd, Medium Judd and Big Judd?

The design is identical, the size is not. Judd holds 4.3 litres, Medium Judd 7.2 litres, Big Judd 13.1 litres. Medium Judd and Big Judd also take laptops up to 15 inches.

Are the bags waterproof?

Leather bags are not waterproof, but they are perfectly practical in the rain. The rainflaps at the sides stop rain running in under the flap and into the main compartment. Oils and waxes already protect the leather naturally. In heavy rain or against dirt, a wax-based protective spray for open-pored leather adds an extra layer of protection. If your bag does get thoroughly wet, let it dry properly in the air before you use it again. Keep it away from direct sunlight and radiators, which can bleach and dry out the leather.

Where does the leather come from?

European premium leather is tanned in an LWG Gold Rated tannery in India. Over time a natural patina develops. As a member of the Leather Working Group (LWG) we are voluntarily committed to responsible leather production, for a considerate approach to people and nature. We source our leather from tanneries certified by the LWG. That means strictly audited environmental standards, reduced emissions and careful use of resources such as water and energy.

Can the bags be repaired?

Yes, we offer a repair service. Within the two-year statutory warranty period, repairs are free of charge for you. For older items we are happy to prepare a quote on fair terms. You can find more information here.
